For a decade, every new Android version came with a dessert name and a statue on Google’s Mountain View campus. Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo, Pie. The alphabetical sequence was as much a part of Android’s identity as the green bugdroid.
